Blog week ending 20th December

Posted on: 20/12/2023

The spirit and magic of Christmas is very much in evidence this week!  Firstly, Ms Butler (pictured below with students) headed our very own Santa workshop!  Ms Butler is a regular donator of her time to a range of animal rescue charities, to thank her for her work and to share the goodwill with us and our families, Ms Jacques together with our Ms Butler collected a vast array of stocking fillers and Christmas treats.  Mr Bailey and his Year 8 Elves set up their own workshop to make Christmas stockings and gift bags to distribute to deserving students on the ‘good list!’  Every gift contained decorations, sweets, stationery, Christmas mug, hot chocolate, and a plush toy.

Thank you to our ever-amazing kitchen team, who, headed by Mog, served up a delicious Christmas feast for us all to enjoy!  We are certainly all feeling very festive now!!

This week Mrs Bain and Mrs Wenham made some Forest School decorations with the students to deliver out into the community. They enjoyed being outside and using outdoor materials together.  This morning we visited the care home on Watling Street with Miss Rutt and Mrs Bassent accompanied by students from Year 7 and 10.  The care home were over the moon to see us and to for us to walk around and deliver our decorations. The residents were so happy and the students made everyone's day.  They were polite, friendly and caring. We were all incredibly proud!  And yes, that is Miss Bassent dressed as a Christmas tree!!
