Thank you to all Year 7 students and their parents and carers who attended The Stone Lodge School welcome evening on Tuesday 5th March. We were delighted to see so many of you and hope that you all found the evening to be beneficial. There will be further information events in the run up to our opening in September which we will notify you of via email as well as via our website and twitter feed.
During last night’s meeting there were a number of student activities and opportunities to provide feed-back to our staff. Students were able to explore new technology, with our visiting robot as well as making land yachts and learning about a Formula 1 racing project with other Endeavour MAT students from Wilmington Grammar School for Boys.
The Head Teacher, Mr Gavin Barnett gave a short talk with updates our vision, values and future-proof curriculum. He introduced new staff members and provide images of classrooms and facilities of the brand new buildings.
A special thank you to all our students who filled in cards with their ideas and views for after-school clubs they would like and for so many great suggestions for the new school house names. An extra special thank you to Elizabeth who had prepared a most thoughtful and useful list of questions concerning the specifics of the new uniform such as sock colours and shoe requirements, all these are under discussion and will be reported on our website and via our uniform suppliers, TFS in Dartford. Our uniforms were on display last night, including the brand new PE kits which were designed following student feedback from previous events. Our uniform suppliers were on hand to help and to explain their special discount and payment plans.
